Michael A. Greene Political Info:

Why were you willing to run for office?

To expose the issue of America's failed drug policies before the public.

What do you feel you offer the voters in your race?

I offer a reasoned and well-informed commitment to changing our drug policies.

What does Personal Choice mean to you?

The freedom to determine my life's values; not those imposed by an outside authority - no matter how well-intentioned that authority may be.

What issues are most important to you?

Individual autonomy, freedom of expression, and equal justice in our courts.

In what matters do you feel you should have more Personal Choice rather than Government involvement?

In terms of "cognitive liberty", I believe I should be free to experience whatever states of mind I feel are relevant to my individual pursuit of happiness. No adult should be criminalized for the use of certain substances that influence consciousness; nor should anyone be coerced into taking a substance that they do not want to take.

If this sounds improbable, there was a recent court case (US vs. Dr. Charles Thomas Sell) in which the court had to determine whether to forcibly drug a defendant in order to have him stand trial. The court decided that to forcibly drug him would violate his autonomy.
